Biography
Tony became an engineer in England, and worked as chief engineer at firms such as Panther cars where his no-nonsense practical approach to engineering allowed him to contribute to such cars as the Panther DeVille and Lima convertibles. Naturally gifted in Mechanical engineering, Tony's skills quickly gained him a reputation for solving difficult engineering problems and coming up with simple and clever solutions.
Among his past inventions is the Hi-Lo suspension system used in the classic Mini Car. Revolutionary when it was new, Hi-Lo suspension is still popular with Mini owners thirty years later.
Tony’s enthusiasm for the Mini led him to build his own Hi-Lo racing mini. Built from scratch it had a steel space frame and weighed only 850lbs. It was capable of 0 to 60mph in well under 4 seconds. It was extremely fast and when raced, almost always easily won.
Tony’s work took him to Germany for three years and then off to America to follow a fifteen year career as an automotive design engineer and inventor working for the "BIG 3" as well as automotive vendors. Tony has designed and patented many inventions, including; sunroofs, folding sunroofs, convertible tops, automotive hardware, seat belt pretensioners and child seat sensors. Tony also holds many joint patents for electronic and mechanical equipment for the automotive industry.
Today, Tony continues to develop new products, such as the amazing, revolutionary Skweeze-Tite Pin – a new type of push-pin allowing for substantially more uses than an ordinary push-pin.
Motomake is another new product from TechZone, a board game based on the concept of running an automobile or motorcycle assembly line. Players can make millions from building cars, or lose money by falling into the pitfalls of the manufacturing industry in this exciting and educational game.
